Terms of Use

Last updated: July 4, 2026

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Skyvo ("we", "us"), the developer of the Skyvo app and website. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Information only, not medical advice

Skyvo gives you general awareness of UV levels, sun-exposure guidance (such as burn-time estimates and sun windows), and air quality. It is not medical advice. The app is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and using it doesn't create any doctor-patient relationship.

Burn-time estimates in particular are rough, model-based figures that vary from person to person and with real-world conditions. Please use your own judgment about sun and air exposure, and consult a qualified professional, especially if you have sun sensitivity, take photosensitizing medication, or have a respiratory or heart condition.

Accuracy and "as is"

The UV and air-quality values in the app are model-based estimates drawn from third-party sources. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or unavailable, and they can change quickly. The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

Third-party data

We work hard to bring you accurate, up-to-date UV and air-quality information, drawing on trusted third-party data providers. Even so, this information is based on forecasts and models, so it can sometimes be incomplete, delayed, or simply wrong, and we can't control or guarantee the accuracy of data we receive from these providers. Any disclaimers from them pass through to you, and the current providers are credited inside the app.

Your license to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own use. You agree not to:

  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except where the law expressly permits;
  • scrape or bulk-extract the data feed;
  • use the app for anything unlawful; or
  • work around any technical limits we put in place.

Purchases and subscriptions

The app offers paid features and subscriptions, billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play under your store account. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them. If a subscription includes a free trial, it will convert to a paid subscription and begin renewing at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. You can manage a subscription, cancel it, or turn off automatic renewal in your store account settings at any time, and any refunds are handled under that store's policies.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skyvo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising out of your use of the app or your inability to use it. Some places don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you, and nothing here excludes liability that can't legally be excluded.

Changes and ending your use

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll post the new version here with an updated date, and flag material changes in the app. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the revised terms. You can stop using the app, and delete it, at any time. We may also suspend or discontinue the app, in whole or in part. Any sections that by their nature should survive, such as the disclaimers and the limitation of liability, continue to apply after you stop using the app.
